On October 5th and 6th of October 2024, Taylor's University and The Design School held an event that included a showcase and a competition. The showcase was from Fashion Design Technology, and the competition was from Design in Creative Media. I participated in the mural competition with my friends, who invited me to join their group.

The tagline/theme for the competition was "Unity Through Diversity." Diversity helps us unite as one. Humans are social beings who rely on each other, teaching us how to connect with others and come together through our differences.

We discussed what idea we wanted to use for the mural competition and ended up with a combination of people from different countries, including their races, backgrounds, religions, traditions, and country icons, all shown in the drawing. The countries were Saudi Arabia, Africa, China, France, India, Indonesia, and Malaysia.

Overall, I'm grateful for this opportunity to join the mural competition, and my group secured 2nd place. And a fun fact, my group didn’t prepare much for any coloring supplies; we just bought markers for the outline and used a set of Faber-Castell coloring pencils that were provided.
