Discovering Techniques and Their Purposes:
●Removing details (retouching): Aims to improve
appearance (remove wrinkles, slim down) or remove
distracting or unwanted elements.
● Inserting details: Focuses on changing facial
features, adding color to skin, or adding elements
to a scene to alter the tone of a photograph.
●Photomontage: Combines images to suggest
relationships or create an entirely new image with
composite meaning.
●False captioning: The context of what a
photograph purportedly portrays is falsified to
distort the meaning.
Top 10 Useful Tips for Successful Graphic
Design:
1. Follow Tutorials
Tutorial sites serve as valuable resources for
skill improvement. These platforms offer both
specific techniques and general design
knowledge.
2. Experiment Freely
Learning comes best through practice. Free
experimentation unlocks creativity and builds
software familiarity. Photoshop tools offer
endless possibilities with different
results.
3. Master Keyboard Shortcuts
A simple trick for shortcut memorization is
visual association. For example: connecting the
letter 'B' with a mental image of the brush
palette. Learning shortcuts by priority level
increases efficiency.
4. Study Professional Work
Replicating existing designs provides practical
experience. This method reveals real-world
techniques and helps measure progress in design
skills. Practicing with successful designs builds
technical abilities.
5. Enter Design Competitions
Participating in competitions develops confidence
and brings enjoyment. These events offer chances to
showcase specific designs for professional
evaluation.
6. Subscribe to Online Galleries
Online galleries display exceptional artistic work
and provide inspiration. Regular browsing of new
designs through gallery subscriptions ensures
constant exposure to fresh ideas and trends.
7. Master Smart Objects
Smart Objects enable efficient editing through two
key functions:
● Nondestructive transforms
● Advanced filtering
This feature becomes essential when working with
heavy graphics such as stock photos and social media
icons.
8. Master Scaling and Proportions
Proper scaling and proportions are fundamental in
design. Accurate width-to-height ratios prevent
design flaws. Maintaining correct scale ensures
professional results.
9. Utilize Photoshop Actions
Actions serve as productive tools for automating
repetitive tasks. Recording common design steps
creates efficient one-click solutions. This
automation saves time and maintains
consistency.
10. Create Organized File Systems
Proper file organization reflects professional
standards. A structured filing system helps:
● Quick file location
● Easy identification of elements
● Clear section grouping
● Efficient project management

When I saw this poster, it portrayed a futuristic
city filled with people, with the iconic Petronas
Twin Towers, KL Tower, and Merdeka 118 Tower in the

very striking.
This Poster Expressed :
Merdeka, Merdeka, tetaplah Merdeka! 🇲🇾
It's always a joy to see our streets decked out
in reds, blues, yellows and whites for her
Indepedence Day. And this year, we doubled down on the

growing Merdeka collection.

3. Bitcoin Dreams Take Flight
Description :
Looking at this poster, it reminded me of
the movie Up, where a house flies using

Bitcoin-shaped balloons make it feel
modern and unique.
This Poster Expressed :
2021 was a year where the adoption of
cryptocurrencies increased, including Bitcoin
(BTC). All this boom led me to develop different
pieces where the iconic better ₿ is the main
protagonist of the different compositions.
4. Reflection
I was confused about choosing 3 poster designs because in pinterest they have a lot of good posters. And I don't know how they make that poster, but I'm still surprised by the design.
